ABOUT INSTITUTE

The institute has a long teaching tradition and offers education in English, German and Czech philology. The Institute’s academic staff conduct intensive research in linguistics, literary and cultural studies, which is evidenced by numerous publications and participation in national and international conferences. The Institute publishes the periodical Philological Studies, and plays active role in the process of University’s internationalization. In addition, many academic teachers of the Institute of Modern Language Studies cooperate with companies or cultural institutions as specialists or sworn translators, using this extremely valuable practical experience during the classes they conduct with our students.
