On 15 December 2025, during the conference “Future Workforce – Workforce for Industry”, the results of the 7th edition of the competition for the Award of the President of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP S.A) for the best bachelor’s, engineering and master’s theses were announced. A 2025 graduate of the University of Applied Sciences in Racibórz, Eng. Fabian Duliba, won second place in the category of engineering thesis. The award for the thesis supervisor was received by Dr Eng. Małgorzata Kuchta, Professor of the University, Director of the Institute of Technology.
Eng. Fabian Duliba is the author of the engineering project entitled “Development of a Pressure Control System in a Biogas Storage Facility”, carried out under the supervision of Dr Eng. Piotr Wilk. The main objective of the project was to modernise pressure control systems used in gas storage facilities and biogas farms, using a programmable logic controller (PLC) and a pressure sensor or a set of pressure sensors. The system operates dynamically, regulating deviations in relation to predefined setpoints while complying with all safety norms and standards. The control system was developed using: a pressure sensor, a fan, a test chamber, a programmable logic controller, an HMI (Human-Machine Interface) panel and additional components facilitating installation and communication.
Eng. Fabian Duliba is a 2025 graduate of the Automatic Control and Robotics faculty.
