On April 8–10, 2026, the 9th Scientific Conference titled “Physical Activity and Functional Fitness in the Context of Intergenerational Health Factors and Digital Technologies Supporting Physical Activity and Quality of Life” was held in Jarosław.
The event was organized in collaboration with several academic institutions, including the Institute of Physical Culture and Health at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz.
The originator and chair of the conference’s Scientific Committee was Dr. Jarosław Cholewa, who for years has been initiating activities that bring together the scientific community around issues of physical activity and public health.
The Rector of the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz—Dr. Paweł Strózik, a professor at the university—participated in the conference’s opening ceremony, emphasizing the importance of inter-university cooperation and the advancement of scientific research in the fields of health sciences and physical culture.
A key element of the conference was presentations by representatives of the Institute of Physical Culture and Health at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz. The following speakers delivered presentations:

The topics of the presentations included, among others, prehabilitation and early mobilization of patients, determinants of functional ability, as well as the role of physical activity and digital technologies in promoting health and quality of life. The conference served as an important forum for exchanging knowledge and experiences and presenting the results of scientific research, highlighting the role of an interdisciplinary approach in shaping modern healthcare and health education.
