The Engineering Project Presentation at the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz has long been a key component of the institute of Technology’s activities, serving a showcase of the learning outcomes of students in the fields of Automation and Robotics, and Production Engineering. The tenth anniversary edition of the event was particularly special – it was held for the first time at the Piast Castle in Racibórz, which underscored the significance of the exhibition and its established place in the university’s academic calendar.

Science, Development, and Business

The event was organized by the ANS Institute of Technology in Racibórz. The project presentation was attended by representatives of the university officials, including the Rector of the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz and Professor at the University Dr. Paweł Strózik, Vice Rector for Organization and University Professor Dr. Eng. Tomasz Czyszpak, as well as the Director of the Institute of Technology and University Professor Dr. Eng. Małgorzata Kuchta, along with faculty members and supervisors of engineering theses. The presence of the university administration indicated the importance of engineering projects as a key element of practical education and cooperation with the external community.

The event was also attended by Ewa Lewandowska, Deputy Head of the County, representing the local government, which had granted the event the Honorary Patronage of the Racibórz County Head. The presence of local government officials underscored the university’s role as a key partner in the development of technical education and the region’s workforce.

The presence of representatives from a local business and industry, who were interested in the practical application potential of the solutions presented, was another important feature of the event. The showcase provided a forum for direct dialogue between students, faculty, and industry professionals, fostering the exchange of experiences and development of relationships from both academic education and business.

Wide range of topics

Fourth-year students in the Automation and Robotics and Management and Production Engineering programs presented engineering projects that were the result of many months of design work. Many of these projects were application-oriented and prototype-based, demonstrating real-world opportunities for applying the knowledge they had gained in industrial and service sectors, as well as in the field of modern applied technologies.

The 10th Anniversary of Engineering Project Presentation once again confirmed that the Academy of Applied Sciences in Racibórz effectively integrates the educational process with the needs of the socio-economic environment. The presence of university officials, local government representatives, and local business leaders highlights their shared goal of educating competent engineers who are prepared to work in a rapidly changing technological environment.
